Size Of Wales\/WWF Cymru Report:<\/h1>\n

Our Charity Partner, Size of Wales<\/a> has published a new report with WWF Cymru. The report has revealed that everyday food choices in Wales are contributing to the destruction of tropical forests, human rights abuses, and pollution, from the Amazon to the rivers in Wales. The report: Food, Forests and Injustice: The Hidden Link Between Wales and Brazil<\/i><\/b> exposes how the Welsh food system is entangled in a global web of deforestation, environmental harm and injustice.<\/p>\n

Freerotation resident Aboutface has released Los Bosquesinos \u2014 a powerful collaborative album with the Indigenous Wamp\u00eds Nation of the Peruvian Amazon, developed from his 2018 performance at our festival. Available now on gatefold bio-vinyl and digital via Bandcamp<\/u><\/a>. 100% of sales revenues go directly to the Wamp\u00eds to support their resistance against illegal gold mining, which is devastating their rainforest and poisoning their communities. We\u2019re sorry to bring you the very sad news of the passing of Smiler Ellis who\u2019s left early for the after-party in the sky.<\/p>\n

Simply put, without Smiler they’d be no Freerotation. It was through Smiler and his legendary parties in West Wales that we met his DJ\/musician sons Joe and Tom Ellis and their friend Leif, when we first moved to Wales 22 years ago. Our little clan, alongside several other key residents formed the core of our big house parties, which in turn morphed into the Freerotation we know today.<\/p>\n

Suzy and I didnt know many people on our musical wavelength in Wales until we met Smiler, he was the catalyst for it all… we will miss him so much. Our thoughts go out to his lovely family\u2026. RIP Smiler <3<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>

We\u2019re honoured that Freero Kino, hosted by Mash Cinema, is featuring this year a showcase of original documentary films by Resident Advisor. It includes films about how dance music embodies and encourages cultural diversity and personal freedom, creative diversity in audio and visual realms, and how it inspires revolutionary change. It includes the RA film about Sebastian Mulleart\u2019s \u201cCircle of Live\u201d (born at Freerotation last year), and a brand new film (released the week of freerotation) about how music festivals are responding to the Climate Emergency.
